As part of the upgrade to bring Gig broadband service to the community, your cable TV channels will need to be encrypted. As a cable TV subscriber, this will impact your service starting February 14, 2023.

  • How do I watch cable TV on my televisions that are not connected to any equipment?

    Any television that is only connected to a Coax line will require an HD Digital Box.  

  • How do I watch cable TV on my television that is connected through a Digital Tuner Adapter (DTA)?

    The DTA will need to be exchanged for an HD Digital Box.

  • How do I get an HD Digital Box and how much is the rental?

    Every television connected to cable TV will require the HD Digital Box.  When you visit the local Hope-Prescott Cable TV office with your DTA equipment, they will remove them from your account and assist with providing you boxes and remotes that include instructions for a self-install.   A tutorial video will be available on our website and all cables and instructions provided at the time the equipment is picked up.  A technician can come to your home for a Tech Assist fee of $29.95.  

  • What happens when the channels are encrypted?

    Starting February 14, 2023, as channels are encrypted, only televisions with the HD Digital Box will show the channels.  By April 11, 2023, all channels will be encrypted.  A schedule of the channels and the date they will be encrypted can be viewed by clicking the blue button above.

  • How do I connect the HD Digital Box?

    Refer to the tutorial video or pdf document above. All cables and instructions will also be provided at the time the equipment is picked up.  A technician can come to your home for a Tech Assist fee of $29.95.
